The Rotary Club of Northallerton, in association with Northallerton Town Council, will be arranging an Art Exhibition and Sale. All artists are invited to participate in this event. An entry form is available on this site. The conditions are shown below. Club Organisers are most welcome to photocopy these for individual artists. The exhibition will feature a Private Preview and Opening Ceremony on Friday evening, 15th May. Contributing artists and guests are invited to this preview. Tickets, priced at £5, will be available on request (before Friday 8th May). During the following two days, the exhibition will be open to the public, free of charge. It is intended to advertise the exhibition widely and this campaign has already begun. We are looking for 2-dimensional work in any medium. Hanging will be £2 per picture with a 20% commission per sale. All proceeds received by the organisers, will be
donated to the Northallerton Rotary Club Iringa Project, the provision
of a Community Centre in Tanzania.
CONDITIONS of EXHIBITION
1. Only original works will be accepted. 2. Entries will be limited to FIVE works. 3. A display fee of £2.00 per exhibit is payable, which is non-refundable. Cheques, payable to ‘The Rotary Club of Northallerton,’ must reach the organisers by the 31st March 2009 along with completed entry forms. These should be sent to Rotary Art Exhibition, c/o Northallerton Town Council, Town Hall, High Street, Northallerton DL7 8QR 4. A commission of 20% will be charged on any sales. All sales to be in cash or cheque, payable to ‘The Rotary Club of Northallerton’ who will deduct the commission before passing on the receipts to artists. Artists will receive payment within two weeks of the exhibition's close. 5. All paintings must be suitably framed and clearly labeled with the artists name, address, title, price and medium. The organisers reserve the right to refuse works that do not meet this condition. Prints will not be accepted. Please ensure that all pictures have suitable hangings attached. 6. All works are accepted entirely at the artist's risk except during the period of the exhibition (which includes the time from delivery to and collection from the Town Hall) when an official insurance will apply. 7. The Rotary Club of Northallerton does not accept responsibility whatsoever for any infringement of copyright. 8. Displays will be arranged by the organisers. Preference will be given on a first come, first served basis. 9. All works must be delivered to the Town Hall between 11a.m and 2p.m. on Thursday 14th May. They may be collected between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. on Sunday 17th May. 10. All profits from the exhibition and sale made by the Rotary Club of Northallerton will be donated to the Rotary Club of Northallerton, Iringa Project. 11.
